Throughout the year, the CCU team has the choice of donating $5/mo to a fund that allows our Community Relations team to help some members enjoy a Happier Thanksgiving. With the money raised this year, the team was able to assemble 25 bountiful baskets complete with a Thanksgiving meal and more. They purchase the food and materials, assemble the baskets, communicate with the members and deliver the baskets.

Several Cornerstone CU team members dressed as witches (good, of course) to greet the many costumed kids and folks who passed through the Trick or Treat trail at Krape Park on Saturday, October 28, 2017. Visitors received candy and gifts from this delightful brood of enchantresses. We hope you enjoyed your time as much as we did!

Protecting one's identity is so important and this event is one way Cornerstone CU can help you be a little safer.150+ vehicles brought 2700 pounds of sensitive personal information to shred for free on October 21 in Freeport. We encourage you to keep in mind all of the other ways you can prevent identity theft:
Cornerstone Credit Union goes all out for this tradition in the Sterling/Rock Falls area. Celebrating Mexican Independence Day, this week-long event also honors the variety of rich and colorful cultural contributions that Hispanics brought to this region with music, food, art, dance and more. The Fiesta Day Parade is its 65th and brings out some extraordinary floats for the community to enjoy. We are proud to say that the CCU float once again took 3rd place, out of 97 floats this year.
Cornerstone Credit Union was a proud corporate sponsor of the South Beloit Centennial Celebration, held Aug. 24 – 27, 2017. Cornerstone staff and board members participated in the Centennial parade down Blackhawk Blvd. Saturday morning. Following the parade, we handed out free SOBO Centennial commemorative tote bags (with a special CCU gift inside) to attendees of the Annual Firefighter’s Corn Boil in City Park. As South Beloit’s only credit union, CCU is excited to be part of this great community and congratulates South Beloit on its 100th Birthday!
CCU staff and volunteers helped the Sterling community with a Free Shred Day, held Saturday, August 19th at Northland Mall. Around 1,000 pounds of sensitive personal information was securely shred to help fight identity theft.
Thanks to volunteers, Kate and Tom Ramsay and CCU staff Julie Warren, Mandy Zelle and Carolitza Mendoza.
